Guidelines and Procedures


Trash Guidelines

Please have all items to be collected at the curb by 7 A.M. of your pickup day.

The following items are to be considered hazardous waste and cannot be picked up. Please contact your local authority to find out how to dispose of these items.

Ashes of any kind - (fire hazard)
Medical waste
Tires
Batteries of any kind
Construction Debris
Dead animals
Dirt
Automotive oil, anti-freeze, or other fluids
Automotive Parts
Pesticides
Stones
Ammunition
Concrete
Paint, paint thinners and solvents
Toilet and drain cleaners
Explosive material


Yard Waste Guidelines

We can arrange for yard debris pickup for a fee if you need this service. We will bill you for all yard debris picked up if is is at the curb, cut and bundled or bagged on your pickup day.

Our rate for yard debris is $1.00 per bag or bundle.

Yard waste must be in biodegradable bags and free of trash. Take special care not to overload bags. Tree branches must not exceed 4 feet in length or 3 inches in diameter and be tied into manageable bundles. Bags or bundles cannot exceed 35 pounds per bundle. You must call or e-mail us only if you will have more that five to six bundles of yard debris. Yard waste examples include:

Recycling Guidelines (call for availability)

Please have all recyclables out by 7 A.M. of your pickup day. There is a one-time charge of $25.00 to enroll in our free recycling program which includes the use of an 18-gallon recycling bin or a 95-gallon recycling can. We are not responsible for lost or stolen bins. There is a replacement cost of $10.

We accept the following items for recycling:

Aluminum - Rinsed beverage cans ONLY

Plastics (All colors) - Please rinse, remove and discard caps. NO packing foam.

Newspaper - Please keep dry. Includes inserts and office paper.

Corrugated Cardboard- Empty, flattened, clean, dry boxes. NO milk, juice, or soiled cartons. NO frozen food or pizza boxes.

Magazines - Please keep dry. NO books.

Tin Cans (Steel)- Please rinse. Label may be left on can. NO paint, gas, or kerosene cans.


Billing Information

We provide our customers with payment coupons, which offer the flexibility of paying monthly, quarterly, or six months at a time.

Payments are due by the 1st of each month of service and are subject to a late penalty of $5.00 after the 10th.

Returned checks will be charged a $35.00 returned check fee, service could also be suspended.

You must notify our office if you wish to terminate or suspend service or fees shall continue to be assessed.

All payments and fees are non-refundable.


Payment Plans

We accept most major credit cards and can debit your checking account.We can set you up for automatic billing also.Please visit our Payments Page for more details.


Service Problems

If your trash is missed, please call or e-mail within 24 hours or sooner.Visit our Customer Service Page for numbers and e-mail addresses.Please include name and pickup address with all correspondence.


Inclement Weather

If we experience inclement weather, we will not jeopardize the safety of the community or employees.Sometimes our routes may get a late start on these days, or we may not be able to run at all.All we ask is that you leave your trash out and we will get it when weather permits.All routes may be delayed a day, even if the bad weather was not on your pickup day.Please visit our notes and news page for updates or call our office.


Holidays

We observe the following holidays.

New Year's Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

We do not pickup trash on these days, when this happens all routes can be affected.Please visit our Holiday Schedule Page for your holiday pickup schedule for that week.The holiday could affect your pickup day even if the holiday is not on your scheduled pickup day. Normal pickup schedule resumes on the Monday following the holiday week.
