A Home-Grown Company Built On Service
Garbage Hound Sanitation, LLC was founded in 2002 by a West Jackson couple, Lem and Cheryl Hayes. Lem is a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He attended Jackson county Elementary and High School in Braselton and later received a B.S. in Agricultural Education from the University of Georgia.
Cheryl spent her early childhood in Mableton, and then her family moved to Barrow County where she graduated from Winder-Barrow High School. Cheryl owned and operated Cheryl's Sweet Repeat in Winder, Georgia, a consignment shop for ladies and children's clothing for the past seven years and recently sold-out to assist with the garbage company.
Lem and Cheryl have been married for 24 years and have two sons, Matt, a private drum instructor at DRUMS101, and Marcus, a junior at Gainesville State College, who also work for the family business.
With previous retail experience during the days of customer service, they have struggled to provide a service level not previously offered in the residential garbage industry: like closing trash can lids after removing trash to keep the rain out; leaving no trash on the ground even if the dogs arrived before the truck; delivering clean containers to new customers promptly; providing garbage pickup with trucks which are cleaned weekly; offering many payment options - monthly, quarterly or up to six months at a time, by credit card, debit card or electronic check, either by phone or via the internet at their secure website.
Garbage Hound is truly a company built on service! |
